I will show you how to make this Fried Chicken that is marinated with soy sauce. lemon juice, garlic powder, and local spices.
Fried Chicken Ingredients:
1 pound chicken legs or thighs
1/3 cup soy sauce
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup vegetable oil, for frying
How To Cook Pinoy Style Fried Chicken:
1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic powder, pepper, and salt. Mix well before adding the chicken pieces. Marinade this for at least 1 hour in the fridge.
2. When you are ready to cook, drain the chicken and set aside on a bowl.
3. In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, dash of salt and pepper. Coat the chicken pieces with this mixture.
4. In a large skillet, fry these chicken pieces in oil over medium heat until tender and golden brown in color.
Serve this Filipino Style Fried Chicken with your favorite sarsa, sauce, or ketchup.
