DIY: How To Tapioca Paper Mache Paste Recipe Tutorial // Wheat Free // corn free
How to make a simple and easy wheat free, corn free paper mache paste using a small amount of glue and tapioca starch.
This is now my default paper mache recipe. I wanted a recipe I could make and let sit out for a few days without having it go bad. Raw flour based recipes get gross and unusable for me after sitting out overnight. But so far I’ve been able to keep this out for several days without any noticeable change.
1 tablespoon of tapioca starch
1 cup hot water
2+teaspoons of white glue
It’s wheat and corn free for those who may have an allergy, and pretty easy. All you need is some tapioca starch, hot water and a little white glue. Corn or potato starch should also work, but I haven’t personally tried them. All I do is take about about 1 tablespoon starch to 1 cup water. Put the starch in a heat safe bowl and pour boiling, or very hot water over it. Stir a little bit, and then let sit until cool. It will look lumpy and terrible but it’s ok! Once its cool you can take a stick blender and smooth it out some. Mix in a couple teaspoons of white glue per cup of water and you’re done. If the mixture is too thick, thin it out with some water and add a bit more glue. This recipe works really well for me, but you may need to play around with the amounts until you get a texture and outcome that works best for you and your projects.

This company has the idea of "better quality, lower processing costs, prices are more reasonable", so they have competitive product quality and price, that's the main reason we chose to cooperate.
