Saudi switch to oxo-biodegradable plastic ‘a major event’ for Symphony Environment, says CEO

Symphony Environmental Technologies plc (LON:SYM) has hailed Saudi Arabia’s decision to make oxo-biodegradable plastic compulsory for a wide range of locally-manufactured and imported plastic products.

It comes as the firm received a quality market for their product d2w – a requirement for its use in the country.

‘’This is the world’s largest oil producer, it also happens to be one of the world’s largest producers of plastic film and packaging …. to have this country choose to deal with the plastic pollution problem by using our technology is a major event and it is our hope that a lot of other countries will take notice of this”, says chief executive Michael Laurier.
